For over 85 years, Golden Gate Toastmasters has provided its members with weekly public speaking opportunities, a supportive environment, and a venue for developing new friendships right in the heart of San Francisco. We are devoted to improving each others’ public speaking and leadership potential. Individually we each bring unique experiences and perspectives to the group, and collectively we help each other achieve many personal and professional goals.
“This has been such a great group and experience for me in so many ways ! Initially I joined with the singular goal to improve my public speaking. And that did happen. I feel much more comfortable talking and presenting in front of others now. Additionally, it’s also been a place where I have met a lot of interesting people and made some good new friends. Hearing other people share about their lives and/or their interests has helped me to connect with some of the other members on a more personal level. Lastly our group regulary plans fun social events, such as picnics and karoke events. So in a nutshell, I came to improve my speaking abilities but also ended up making some new friends and improving my social life overall too ! ”

All skill levels are welcome, you’ll find a warm group of devoted members, many of whom range from beginning speakers to downright amazing ones. You will get better, challenge yourself, make new friends and exercise those public speaking muscles we all want to have.”
